The stiffness of the springs, which are pressed on the springs of the brushes, has a direct effect on the engine life. If the springs are excessively hard, various deformation problems will be seen. For this reason, the motors should be maintained at periodic intervals, and during the maintenance, the brush and DC motor collector should be examined. If there is a shortening in the length of the brushes in the motor, then the deformation should be removed with sandpaper. Cleaning the dust that occurs with friction will also prevent a possible malfunction.
